From the air the Minkébé National Park in the central African state of   Gabon   would inspire wonder in even the most jaded traveller. Its steamy   equatorial rainforest stretches from horizon to horizon, unbroken by a   single track or human habitation, punctuated only by occasional swamps and   granite outcrops.
