I would say we’re outdoor-sy people

First off I’d like say Neil and I are,umm,outdoor-sy people??? I’m not even sure if thats a word but whatev thats the type of people we are. We prefer to be outside, BBQing, swimming, camping, fishing, outdoor things. We spend 90% of Summer in a tent or at the cottage. We Google different places to fish that is close to where we live. We take people camping with us everytime we go. I think the only time when we really don’t bring somebody besides Shaylyn is to the cottage, I mean we have but not all the time like we do when we are camping. Plus this year Neil & I are going to plant a garden and if you haven’t seen my post about growing things, then take it from me, this gardens chances of surviving are pretty slim. Hey, I never once claimed to have a “green thumb” or be an expert at growing plants and stuff. either way  we’re pretty excited about it.

We spent alot of time last year swimming or chillin on the beach or at a wharf some wheres fishing. I usually have a camera everywhere I go because I love to take pictures. I think thats why I go on the journ with Neil when he is hunting,so I can take pictures of nature.

Lately we have been “Jamping”, its camping out in a jeep instead of a tent. We have been reading ALOT of camping blogs and read this really good one that had a story about camping in their jeep so Neil and I decided it we should try it. Since spring is almost here and the weather has been much better,we tried “jamping” last Saturday. It was much more comforatble than a tent, probably because we put the back seats down and fit a futon mattress in the back, and there was also waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less condensation in the jeep then what there would’ve been in a tent. Also less bugs, which is a good thing.  Even being at the cottage kinda freaks me out because the spiders in there are so huge its freaky.

We adore summer. Theres so much more stuff to do in the summer than there is any other season. We hate the cold and the snow so don’t list off winter sports in the comments lol. We are hoping Brandan and Beca will come camping with us this summer because most of summer 2010 we spent with Mim and Elliott and Tyler so we didnt really get to see too much of Brandles & Beca Boo. Seeing as how Tyler now for some strange reason is ignoring our texts and we don’t chill with Mim and Elliott anymore it would be nice to find other people we like to be around to take camping. We always have a good time. We usually have food to barbeque or beer to drink and fireworks to set off. Random stops to convenice stores all summer long for slushies or  freezies. Mudding. Just basically being together and with people we like outdoors and having fun, making memories.

We have plans for this summer and hopefully we follow threw with them instead of being slack about our plans like we usually are.

Summer 2011, we expect great things from you 🙂
